England pair Walker and Phillips out until the World Cup, making it nine in all
What an extraordinary season for the Three Lions. Four wins out of four, including victories over both Australia and New Zealand and a tense and closely fought England victory over the Wallabies in Auckland. Australia are now the bookmakers’ favourites to retain the Rugby World Cup, while England have emerged as the underdogs against the Springboks at Twickenham on Saturday.
The British summer could very well go down in rugby history as arguably the best of the tournament so far. England, however, remain the heavy favourite and are looking to extend the series with a bonus-point win on Saturday. “I feel like I have a good team, it’s what you are meant to do in life,” England coach Eddie Jones said.
A win on Saturday will give England a chance to even the Rugby World Cup semi-final at the weekend.
The Three Lions are on a roll and the only question is whether they can maintain it.
