Lynn Myers, who called Trump administration for records, claimed ‘it is rare for senior officials to work with foreign countries without us knowing’
The lawyer representing Meadows accused report of leaked document ahead of 2020 election plans
A lawyer who had helped arrange a meeting with Donald Trump’s team over the release of a dossier that alleged links between the president and Russia told CNN on Wednesday that he obtained a document that detailed how to undermine the 2020 presidential election.
Lynn Myers, a New York City lawyer, told CNN that he was preparing to file a lawsuit against a national security lawyer in Albany, New York, for what he said was a document that details how to wage “astroturfing” to disrupt the next election.
The Washington Post and the New York Times earlier reported details of the document Myers had obtained.

“I’m not going to say if it is classified. It is a discussion document of general subject matter; how to identify supporters of candidates, which to target and who to fund, which to communicate with and all that,” Myers told CNN.
“It is rare for senior officials to work with foreign countries without us knowing,” Myers said.
The meeting that Myers attended was with Brad Parscale, digital director for Trump’s 2016 campaign, and the president’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
Myers said Flynn was later given a “waterboard” of documents and video of the meeting. “We, the lawyer, who met Mr Flynn and had access to the documents, said that at that meeting we were hoping that Mr Flynn would be aware of what is going on,” Myers said.
“I was nervous and frustrated that they didn’t offer him up as an informant. I am just the messenger and not a decoy, so I don’t want to falsely accuse anyone.”

Flynn pleaded guilty last year to lying to the FBI in the Russia investigation and was sentenced to two years in prison in December.
The meeting occurred in a Doha hotel in January 2017, between Parscale and two associates of Donald Trump, including Flynn.
Myers’ offer came after Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, filed a lawsuit against him over a meeting in 2016 in London between Parscale and a lawyer for Russia’s government-owned RT news network. Cohen said Parscale was being intentionally deceptive in his statements that he had no other dealings with Russia.
Myers said the meeting was a “Parscale’s luncheon with our client discussing that one aspect of it”.
“By the end of it, of course, a conversation about the [DC] meeting, which Mr Flynn was sent to Doha to see,” Myers said.
Cohen’s lawsuit was dropped two months later.
