Emma Raducanu’s in-your-face style hasn’t always endeared her to the fashion crowd, but that hasn’t stopped the Estonian from becoming a fixture at the top of the menswear awards list.
The 28-year-old’s varied sartorial tendencies were once again front and center on Monday evening as she faced the fashion house whose well-dressed “grooms” had consistently been her inspiration: Dior.

Located in Paris’s stylish 17th arrondissement, the “white room” is ground zero for most of the world’s highest profile fashion week events. The usually tense runway environment shifted to a laid-back energy as the evening’s guests mingled around the Marc Jacobs spring-summer 2019 display.
As the party got underway and DJ Martha Karis injected a touch of modernity into proceedings, Raducanu smiled and laughed as she took selfies on her phone with models Karlie Kloss and Bella Hadid.
That radiance would continue on the runway, as the sportswear maestro Dior introduced a vibrant, colorful collection of breezy jerseys and pieces of silk and patterned jersey.

As Raducanu strutted the catwalk in an abstract printed sweatshirt, she strummed a guitar along with the pounding house music alongside the show’s head designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
But rather than extolling her talents to the gathered guests, Raducanu remarked that she was still very much an artist and would be taking a bit of time to enjoy the festivities.
“As (Chiuri) says on her Instagram page: no filter. I still need to cut myself some slack,” she said, adding, “I think she’s very nice. She’s got such a sense of humor. She makes you laugh.”
